Now that we are about halfway into production, we have settled into a rhythm and are grinding away to create the piece of cinema we had always envisioned.

Day Eleven

Today is the end of the week and all shots are night interiors. As tensions build in the Ward household, it’s time for some bombs to explode. Unable to put the baggage of the past behind them, brothers Dylan (Don), Dan (Tom) and Derrick (Austin) square off and go after each other.

Some really wonderful acting here, as the Don, Tom, and Austin make the room sizzle with electric friction and sweat.

And now more fireworks flare up between Dylan and Dan. But this is more about ideology than anything else. How far will they take it?

Good stuff. Don and Tom crank the energy up to another level and leave all of us astounded. All right!

Day Twelve

Today is the beginning of a new week, and as the day gets under way I really need to give some credit to our office crew. These behind the scenes people who make it possible for the rest of us on set to do our jobs. Thanks guys and gals!

All shots today are interior, some day and some night. We need to keep it moving as tomorrow is our last day at this location.

We have some scenes with some mystery now, both hiding and revealing bits for the audience to take in and then figure out. When shooting, it sometimes takes a nuanced action or word to know what the balance is here.

I am getting stoked as I can see more of the pieces of the film coming together. Things are starting to look amazing. We passed the halfway mark, and my energy is still up! And everyone else seems into it!

One final note here. I want to give a shout out to my buddy Everett Gregory. He worked as an intern on our film, and gave us a hand on set wherever and whenever we needed him. Anyway, he just started film school in Colorado (we didn’t do enough to scare him away from taking that plunge), and we all wish him the very best. We expect great things from you, Everett!
