Starting a new week and we are getting set up to head for that final stretch. The troops are rested up and ready to get started again. We start a two-day stretch at Seton Shoal Creek in Austin, an assisted living facility. These two days are those types of days where you go, “Huh, really? That’s what happened? No, not really? … Hhhmm, really?”
We have left the Ward house for good now, but we are still in Austin. In fact, for some hospital shots; a fairly simple exterior shot (so we think) and a fairly complicated interior one, plus a new baby’s entrance. And then we are off to Lockhart for some car shots.
Day 13 is the last full day at the Ward house with some great interaction at the breakfast table, car scenes and some night time tension to finish it off. Then Day 14 we move outdoors to a secluded location northwest of Austin which is completely covered with bluebonnets.
Now that we are about halfway into production, we have settled into a rhythm and are grinding away to create the piece of cinema we had always envisioned.
I felt like doing something a little different today as we remember how the next two production days went. Since humor can help smooth things out a bit, I thought I’d shoot out some possible thought bubbles for the cast and crew in these pix. Have fun with it!
